I did this dog cartoon as a result of doodling. I was just sketching different things trying to make them cartoon like. It is something I like to do when I am tiered and thinking about things I need to do or stressed out about something. Aside from working out, it works great as a stress reliever for me. I had drawn the fire hydrant in a bunch of different ways but the pose seen in this cartoon struck me as funny because the words he is saying just came out as if I could hear them in real life. It may sound strange but this fire hydrant actually has a pretty deep voice, not James Earl Jones deep, but pretty close. The dog took shape after a half dozen tries and that is pretty much how this one came to life. I ended up using this cartoon for a couple of Birthday cards as well so the time taken was worth the effort in many ways. Enjoy the cartoon and have a great day.
