Funny Birthday Cartoon: A Big Hit

This birthday cartoon came as a result of working on a bunch of piata birthday card ideas and it occurred to me that the piatas mama must get pretty upset when her baby comes home from every party having to go to urgent care from the beating it had taken at the birthday party. That's right.it's all fun and games until someone looses their stuffing.
I have had a few birthday parties where we had a piata full of candy for the kids to enjoy. The one I remember the most was when the kids kept taking turns smacking the thing and nothing was happening. The piata was like the hulk or something..it seemed to get stronger with every smack. It was kind of funny watching the frustration of the kids as the proclaimed they would be the one to subdue the Paper-Mache beast only to be disappointed yet again. We even changed striking instruments from the broom handle type stick to an aluminum baseball bat. Still the piata prevailed. I finally had to take a knife and make a few cuts to weaken the outer defenses before anyone could feel like they were making a dent. Eventually, candy started to fall but we never did bust that thing open all the way. It was hilarious in retrospect.
Anyway, the cartoon was a result of wondering what the party might look like if mama showed up to check on her little piata bambino. Enjoy and have a great day.

I love pinata parties! I can remember when I was about 9, my friends mom made me a Super Mario one, it was awesome!
