I was listening to the news and found something that interested me very much which got me thinking about this whole mess with this $787 billion that will be signed into law today. I found it interesting that the name of this bill has changed names so many times. First it was a stimulus bill or spending bill depending on which side of the aisle someone was on, then I heard recovery act which seemed to be a linguistic way to get away from the stimulus and spending thing, now I hear rescue bill being used, I think this is just a way to help give a platform to make a case for more dollars needed later. The long and short of it is that in my opinion it feels like no one is sure what to do and all this is a best guess. It also feels like more political posturing on both sides than finding solutions and fixing things. I have come to the opinion that none of them should be worthy of trust. Anyway, I will give the president this credit. He has exceptional ability in convincing the public that this is a solid beginning to a recovery through any means necessary. That's the line of thinking that brought me to this cartoon. Enjoy and have a great day.
