Political Cartoon Humor, Congress Valentines Day

I am sitting here listening to the news about the stimulus bill being passed in the house and now on its way to the senate wondering if the reason for rushing this bill through without giving people including us the American people a chance to give the final bill a once over. I have to say that it makes me a little nervous mostly because it was not too long ago that another administration said we needed to act quickly and thus far the TARP bill has been anything but a success. The goofy side of me thought maybe the folks on Capitol Hill just wanted to be able to celebrate Valentines Day without this hanging over their head or having to stay in Washington for another weekend or maybe there is some weird coincidence that it happens to be Friday the 13th. I really don't know but I'm sure time will tell. Anyway, Valentines Day and all this talk about a stimulus or recovery package gave me the idea for this cartoon. Enjoy and have a great day.
