It looks like the stimulus, spending or recovery bill, whatever they are calling it today has passed so far. Watch, tomorrow it will have a name like, "If we don't get this passed, we'll all die bill". I wonder what the final dollar amount will be. I realize that it is normal for a bill to get larger when it goes to the house to get all the parts and pieces to match up but I'm curious of where it will end up because of the original size. I look at it like this. If you have a snowball and you roll it down a hill it gets bigger right. Well, they are starting with one big snowball and I figure by the time it gets to the bottom of the hill it should be big enough to destroy a small city or two. I did this cartoon because of the obvious differences in opinion between the two political parties. Enjoy and have a great day.

Ira,

So true and great cartoon!  Wish the country would wake up and pay attention.  Newsweek's recent "We Are All Socialists Now" says it all, I think.

Thanks Nancy,

I'm glad you enjoyed the cartoon. I heard about the Newsweek thing. I’m not sure if “We” all are but it seems as though more and more people are “OK” with the government taking care of them. I think it is unfortunate that these same people don’t seem to look forward enough to really consider what that means and what strings will be attached. I think that if they new the possibilities they might, just maybe, change their mind about it. Then again, I’ve been wrong many times before with respect of people and their capacity for misery. :)

Ira, you know you do great work but I have to disagree with you on this one. You evidently have fallen for the indoctrination that has consumed us all. What is that you ask? Well frankly check the agenda, the goals, the ideology, the purpose and you will see identical twins. Sure some variables but very close and similar and tied in more ways then we know. Yet they strive to present individuality. Fact my friend, facts.  Good work as usual. I happen to call them the Easter Bunnies.

Hey Robert,

Thanks for the comment. I'm not sure what you are in disagreement with though? Maybe you could clarify for me. Thanks.

IRA, forgive me I should have been clearer. I am referring to the "differences" stated in your last paragraph. As I say if we are both going Tampa to NYC and agree that is where we want to go we can disagree on how but we will end up there anyway. Meaning the incidentals have nothing to do with the objective which was to help the big money boys out again. best wishes, Robert. PS they are book ends.

Hey Robert,

Ok, I understand you now and completely agree with you. I have no illusions that it has been going that way for many many years. Thanks again for the comment. Best wishes.
