I was listening to the news the other day while working on some other cartoons and the subject of a transparent government and how Obama had used it as one of the many talking points on the campaign trail. They were getting on his case because he was not really saying much about the mess surrounding the Senate Seat he vacated in Illinois and to what extent his team was involved. I have to say that he has spoken to it just like he has spoke to most things as of late. I myself cannot remember a time when he has answered a question in anything less than general terms which has obviously served him well to this point so why change now. The other thing is that he has said that the U.S. Attorney's office asked that he not say anything until next week so what's the guy suppose to do? I came up with this idea while listening to this stuff getting tossed around. Enjoy and have a great day.

Ira right on target " I myself cannot remember a time when he has answered a question in anything less than general terms which has obviously served him well to this point so why change now." yet the American public elected him. It isn;t what you do that matets it is the easter bunny package. Great looking on the outside, many time hollow ont he in. Why nopt a cartoon showing congress all dressed in Easter Bunny outfits with the captions, but we shore are packaged great.
Best wishes, great Job.

Thanks Robert,

I like your ideas for cartoons. Maybe you should look at doing some from time to time. The best cartoons in my opinion are more about the writing than the art involved.

It is interesting "in general terms" watching society from the outside so to speak. I keep coming back to the thought that marketing might go down in history as one of the sharpest double edged swords.

Best wishes to you as well."

IRA in my younger days I was very much into art of varied disciplines but got into the business world and left it all behind. I do think if you develop a character you could do quite well, sort of like garfield.  Perhaps a takeoff on "the rest of the story" that Paul Harvey was so famous for. I picture the character looking down from above reminding or asking? Anyway great work.
